Artaigne had been moving around the estate of Sir Cedwyn with little purpose since returning from their adventure, but he knew that his limited funds would require him to find a purpose, and do so soon.
Requesting an audience with Cedwyn, the Irishman waited to hear as to the time and place for the meeting.
ooc: Not to presume, but more to spit ball--if you are looking to find someone to smack down the heathens while still retaining some sort of deniability, I would be happy to be your agent on this. Could be some good middle ground arrangement.

Cedwyn invited Artaigne to his solar for some mulled wine and to sit by the fire.
He greeted his guest warmly, "Sir Artaigne...thank you for coming. Please sit. Enjoy some wine with me."
-
"My thanks, milord." Sitting in the chair provided, and taking a glass of wine, Artaigne enjoyed a sip and sat in silence. It was polite to let his host speak first.
-
“How do you feel about assisting me in a matter brought to my attention. A heretic tried and convicted by the Church needs to have sentence setved upon him and potentially his followers.”
-
"I am at your disposable, milord. I had come to ask what the nature of our relationship would be in the future. I would welcome the chance to assist our mother church and the Lord God."
-
“Sir Artaigne. To be honest I’m not sure. You are here as my guest for at least the winter...and perhaps through the summer but I’m no rich knight able to support much more than myself and my lady wife. Plunder has given me resources and I can support you for a time.”
He took a sip of wine.
“I apologize for my bluntness, Sir, but it is best to offer the lay of the land honestly.”
“In the meantime, Mother Church has requested our assistance.”
-
"No offense is taken, sir. I appreciate honesty. I do not mean to impose and while I appreciate your generous offer of lodging for the winter, I fully expect to be earning my keep somewhere come summer."
Taking another sip of wine and changing the subject, he asks, "Where is this heretic that requires judgement?"
