The hunt is split into segments of an hour. The number of segments depends on the time of year and when the hunt begins. In this case, we'll assume 8 segments.
The hunt is marked in six rows, with one column per hunter. Each character must make a hunting roll to find a trail to follow. From then on, they engage in competing hunting rolls -vs- their prey's avoidance skill. if they win, their marker advances one space. If they loose or crit fail, different effects may happen. There's also possibility for mishaps, and you may be required to make additional skills rolls such as horsemanship.
Let's use the existing hunt as an example.
Here we see that Arne, Cedwyn and Rodric are not on the chart because they have not found any prey yet. Valka is on the chart, as she has an active trail to follow. Anyone who reaches the bottom of the grid gets a shot at the beast they were chasing, and it becomes combat from that point on.
