The saxon facing Sir Rodric meets his attack with a spear thrust of his own, and is a little quicker. He gets inside Rodric''s guard, though Rodric manages to get the shield in to absorb some of the blow, he takes 6 damage (21 - 8 armour - 6 shield). The spear blow knocks Rodric out, and he slips from his horse to the ground. The other Saxon rushes over to hit Rodric again and make sure he stays down.
