Known Comrades
« on: June 28, 2014, 04:42:35 PM »
Based on your father's service to the Count, you were taken on as a squire of Count Roderick. During the 6 years of training, you became familiar with Cedwyn of Winterbourne Stoke and Rodric of Falt. Both are landed knights, so rank above you. But when you were in training as squires, Sir Amig, your instructor, tolerated no pulling of rank. He made it clear you were all squires, and all equal, regardless of your family background.

You would know them as the eldest sons of knights in the Count's service, though both their manors are considered poor. By comparison, your father's pension and lack of expenses means you are of average wealth. As your father was not a knight, you don't have the family history behind you upcoming knighthood, but Sir Amig would have prepared you well for the role you would assume once you were knighted.
