Suger looks horrified at your wounds, and offers to take your arm. My lord, what happened? We saw you get unhorsed, and I could not get to you. Here, let me help you."

He leads you inside your tent and helps you to a chair as best he can.

Rodric gladly took the offered support, but only put enough weight on the boy to insure he felt he was helping.  Settling in to the chair the knight took a labored breath and looked at his squire.

"Cedywn, Gwynn and I were captured, but with the help of a new ally we were able to fight our way to freedom.  Well, not all of us.  Gwynn did not survive."

Suger nods. "You look as if you barely survived. Here, let me draw some water and clean you up my lord."

A few minutes later,t eh cold water stings, but eases the ache of torn flesh and bruises. While Suger is cleaning your wounds and helping you out of your prisoner's rags, an older man with a long grey beard enters the tent carrying a large case. You recall his name is Berwyn, the Count's surgeon. He clucks his tongue and shoos Suger away. The boy looks to about ready to stand up to him, but a nod from you and Suger steps back.

"My lord Salisbury bade me tend to your wounds. I see you have been in a great battle. Anything broken, hmm?" When you shake your head, he goes to his case and produces a bone needle and a length of catgut. Without another word, he begins to sew your wounds shut to let them heal. It hurts, but it a welcome pain - a healing pain.

Meanwhile, Suger asks, "If there anything you need, my lord?"

"How many of my men survived?" He asked the squire as he tried to control the pain, as welcome as it was.

"35 are able bodied. A further 10 are wounded to varying degrees, but should be hale enough by harvest. Three still draw breath, but they will not live to see Sarum."

"Insure they are made comfortable in their final moments.  I will come to them as soon as the surgeon is done."
