Naming a Daughter

[GM Craig]

He face grows serious.

"Many lords would take a mistress, or dally with barmaids to salve their hearts." It is a statement, but there is a question there.

[Cedwyn]

"Aye. They do, but I want you," Cedwyn replied, "I chose with my head and my heart when I decided I would try to woo you. I would give you all of me."

[GM Craig]

She is quiet. "I do not know what to say, my lord. Dreams of love are a little girl's fantasy, and I abandoned those silly thoughts long ago."

She sighs. "If you wish to try and win my affection as well as my duty, I will not discourage you. but I think you may be a little mad." She smiles slightly.

[Cedwyn]

Cedwyn offered a wry smile, "Well...I did charge...on foot..wielding only Witchbane, a three-eyed giant, so I may be ever so slightly mad. Hopefully you can live with that," the smile became bigger.

[GM Craig]

"It is not my place to tell you what to do beyond these walls. You know your duty, as I know mine." She pauses, and adds a smile as an afterthought. "But I am pleased you returned safely."

[Cedwyn]

Cedwyn kissed her hand and stood, pulling her up with him.

"Just as I am pleased to return safely. But...we have another issue to confront. Our daughter requires a name, and I would know your thoughts.

[GM Craig]

"If it were my choice, my lord, I would chose Anwen."

[Cedwyn]

"Anwen," Cedwyn tasted the name on lips, "It is a good name. Is there a history to it, my beautiful lady," he gave her soft smile.

[GM Craig]

Her face is hopeful. "Then you approve?"

[Cedwyn]

Cedwyn smiled, "I do, my lady, I do."

[GM Craig]

She actually smiles. "You honour me, my lord."
