Not a big deal, I'm just a little OCD on that kind of thing. :)

What do you think Ben? Rodric's intrigue is a mind blowing 3 so failure is likely but success is likely to yield better rewards. His awareness is 13 but so far we haven't found much at the other ships.

Not sure how we increase intrigue other than getting crit checks so maybe we need to take every opportunity to try for one, but you are right it isn't a great chance...maybe you try an intrigue and I try an awareness?

Saxon or not they are God's creation.
Then let god deal with them. :p

Guess I'll roll my hate Saxon vs merciful and see how that turns out. What have we been doing with the wounded from the last few camps.

There was some time pressure, and Cedwyn was urging you guys on. Off the leash, you have a few more options.

Killing the survivors, or leaving them are the most immediate. Questioning them / torturing them. Looting or leaving the relatively cheap goods. Taking the Saxon equipment. Cedwyn left all that and let the wounded lay where they fell.

Looting, check.
Leave cheap gear, check.
Take Saxon equipment, check. (Spears, the rest can burn)
Rodric doesn't speak their language so questioning them is out for him.
Torture definitely isn't his style.
Leaving them to likely suffer and die a slow death isn't his style either.

Ben, any thoughts?

Are they in a condition in which they could be taken prisoner and delivered to the Roman camp?

How much risk does that add for how much possible reward?  Either monetary or in good will with the Praetor would be equally worthwhile right now.

The Praetor did not seem interested in prisoners, and these guys are not worth any ransoms.

I guess that a quick death is the most merciful thing we can do then.  We can't exactly treat them and leave them to take up arms again.

Quote from: GM Craig
Rodric also earns a Hate: Saxons check. For the remainder of this day, Rodric has +5 to all attack skills when facing Saxon opponents for successfully engaging his Hate: Saxons passion. So overcome with his hatred of Saxons, he cannot willingly spare any Saxon opponent he faces, even if a ransom could be earned.

On one hand I'm a ticked the Saxon got a crit as well, that damage would have cut him in half. But on the other hand, better a crit when I get one too or Rodric might get cut in half.
