The Frankish Footman either doesn't understand Sir Cedwyn, or does not care, and presses his attack. Sir Cedwyn is the quicker of the two, and lands a solid hit to the side of the head. The footman staggers, looses his footing, and collapses to the ground, unconscious.
Back by the door, Arne continues to have difficulty with his opponent. The Frank appears to be toying with Arne, holding back and picking his hits. Though Aren's new armour continues to absorb most of the force of the hits, they are starting to add up.
The remaining footman glances at the sound of her companion clattering to the ground, and starts to look unsure. She's doing well against Arne, but facing two opponents is a recipe for a quick death.
She steps back from Arne and puts the wall to her back. In Frankish (close to Saxon) she yells out, "Swear no harm will come to the lady, and I will yield!"
[Actions?]
Sir Cedwyn cannot tell what she said, but her actions seem clear - she's offering a surrender. Arne can make out the gist of what she said.
