You move forward, and about half a dozen crossbow bolts fly from the manor. One narrowly misses Arne. Another one catches Sir Cedwyn on the thigh, just above the knee, causing a painful but minor wound.
[14-12=2 damage; Sir Cedwyn is 27/29]
One of your men is hit and collapses. Another one is badly wounded. The soldiers ready axes and rush the door, the two of you following closely. There are not arrow slits on the bottom floor, so if you get close enough to the walls you should be safe from the crossbows.
You weather another flurry of bolts. Another soldier drops, and another is wounded. Arne catches a solid hit, mostly absorbed by his armour, and a second bolt skips off Sir Cedwyn's shoulder, denting but not piercing his armour.
[Arne: 16-10=6 Damage; 20/26]
By then, shots become more difficult at the two of you, though you still have soldiers exposed. The men start on the door with their axes. They will be a few minutes chopping.

Farther away from the manor, Sir Geoffrey sees Sir Cedwyn pull of short, likely for some sort of parlay. After a pause of a few seconds, he orders the soldiers forward. Sir Geoffrey then sees crossbows launched from the manor, and a couple of soldiers fall. The group breaks into a run, and more soldiers go down before they reach the shelter of the walls. They appear to be hunkering down now, while men work with axes on the manor door.
Keeping an eye out for surprises, Sir Geoffrey sees nothing of import - the rolling hills are clear of threats. Based on the size of the crossbow volley, Sir Cedwyn has more than enough forces to take the manor, so he should have things well in hand.
