Before Rodric can answer, you hear happy laughter behind you, coupled with clapping. The old man - no longer bent and crippled, walks into the clearing saying, "Well done! Well done! Such courage! Such valour! Such skill! Very well done indeed!"
As he approaches, a wavering cloud of fog and smoke surrounds him for a moment, apparently seeping from his body and clothes. A few moments later, the fog clears. Arne and Valka do not recognize this man, but Sir Cedwyn and Sir Rodric certainly do.
Merlin.
He gently moves Suger aside and knees beside Cedwyn. He touches the knight's chest and speaks strange words that fade from memory the moment theya re spoken. Slowly, Cedwyn's colour improves, and his ruined face mends, though prominent scars remain.
The man rises and turns to you all.
He smiles when he sees Arne and Valka's gaping mouths. With a small flourish, he sketches a bow and says, "I am Merlin. A pleasure to meet you, Arne Torvaldson and Valka Ingersdotter."
He lets his name sink in for a moment before his mirth vanishes.
He points to Suger, and says, "He will remain here." Indicating Arne, Valka, Sir Rodric and Sir Cedwyn he says firmly, "You four will do. Come with me."
Without another word, Merlin turns and strides off into the trees. You see a thick fog quickly seeping up out of the ground as he walks away. If you do not follow quickly, you will loose sight of him.
[Actions?]
