Can you roll for inspiration at any time, including same round you're doing actions?

It's applicable at any time. The procedure if you ask me if you can roll a passion. I determine if it is applicable, and you roll. Note there are penalties for failed and fumbled passion rolls, so it is an action to be considered carefully.

I may also require passion rolls from time to time.

With one of us already down, I'm not sure I want to risk a failure on a passion roll...

A valid perspective.

Meh.. I forgot to roll it first anyway. That was probably for the best :P

At 15 Honor, Craig says:

70% chance of success, 5% chance of crit, 20% chance of failure, 5% chance of fumble.

As we're all still learning the rules, I'll allow Arne to retro-actively apply his passion. Give me a roll of 1d20+4 <= 20
Anything 20 or higher is a crit.

You may not have broken your axe, in that case.

Further, that roll of 20 becomes a crit, so Arne would get double damage.

Hell, yes!  But unless someone would like to roll for me, I'll have to wait until I get home.  I've tried to get the die roller site to like this computer, but still  . . . well . . . no dice.   ;D

The passion roll can wait. I've rolled damage for you.

Sigh.  Arne has put his passion on hold, and the damage has been done already.   ;D

Craig, will the site that Dave used be all right (ie. Invisible Castle) be all right for Arne's Honor roll?  I didn't want to bog the action down if I could help it

If the Invisble Castle site is OK, then Arne rolled a modified 23:

I'd rather keep the log in one place.

The detailed result of the passion roll does not matter as far as the action is concerned. Your guaranteed success, so failure/fumble is not a factor. But a possible Crit is a factor (though it won't affect the outcome of the battle), so the actual roll can wait. The passion came into play. We'll work out the details later.

A sudden idea struck him, and he turned to Sir Rodric with a grin.  "Sir Rodric, the giants in your land . . . do they keep treasure?"

Let me check my notes. :P

Craig, would any information Rodric would know about giants be much more than what he's heard in stories?

Yes, typically giants do have some incidental treasure from hapless travellers they have killed. Sometimes they keep baubles and such because they find them pretty.
