Cedwyn nodded to Valka.

"We should be off to Lindsey. The sooner we are home in Logres; the better."

Cedwyn simply looked world weary and ready for this 'adventure' to end. It had seen one friend grieviously wounded and yet another dead.

You spend the night in spartan but adequate lodgings. Early in the morning, you set out for the return to Lindsey and from there to Logres and Salisbury.

The return trip is uneventful. About hallway to Lindsey Arne wakes up. He is still very weak, but appears to be on the mend. He'll have to be careful, or he will tear stitches and worsen his condition.

At length, you see the walls of Lindsey ahead, lit by the setting sun. The King's banner still flies, showing Uther is still present.

The guards are watchful but not overly tense as you are passed through the gate. Word spreads quickly of your arrival, and by the time you have dismounted, Earl Rodrick has arrived, dressed in hunting clothes.

He takes in the situation, and appears to confer correctly. "What news?" he says, gravely.

You report the results of your activities, and the death of Sir Roderick.

"Sad news indeed, though it does seem you made a dent in the Centurion King's attitude towards the rest of us. Please, take your rest. I will report the results to Uther.

Solemnly you find quarters and sleep.

A couple of days later, the royal entourage departs. The king is apparently deeply unhappy at the Centurion King's response, but according to Sir Rodrick, he is pleased with your actions. Sir Roderick's sacrifice may go a long way to thawing the centurion King's stance.

Before long, you are back at Salisbury. You spend a few more days in the company of King, and are finally released from your duties to return to your manors.
