Unfortunately God was not with Cedwyn as Sir Amig ordered the pullback He swung his sword at the first available spearman but completely messed leaving him somewhat unbalanced in the saddle.

[Totally with this round. Sort attack: 15 based skill, -5 due to pull back, +5 due to mounted. Roll = 19. Failure. Horsemanship: skill at 10. Roll equals 15. Failure]

Round 9

Player         Roll         Roll         Target      Player Result
Rodric18 (fail)8Spearman(27-8) 19 Damage to Rodric
Cedwyn19 (fail)8Spearman(22-8) 14 Damage to Cedwyn
Gwyn715 (Crit)Spearman(14x2-14) 14 Damage to Gwyn

You wheel and attempt to withdraw. The spearmen match your pace, however, and close with you. Trying to keep in line while pulling back makes combat difficult, and Rodric is run through by a  great spear. He slumps forward. His hapless squire tries to hang on to him, but it is too much and Rodric slips to the ground. Helpless to aid him, Cedwyn also takes a spear thrust. Unable to stay in control, Cedwyn falls back. His horse rears, and Cwedyn is dumped out of the saddle to land on the ground. Gwyn manages to get a shield up in time, but still takes a solid hit. As the line pulls back, Gwyn cannot stay int he saddle and slumps forward to slid out of the saddle and land on the ground in a heap. In moments the three knights are overrun by the spearman, their squires helpless to aid them. For the three knights from Salisbury, the battle is over.

[OOC: Status:
Gwyn 3/25 hp (Unconscious)
Rodric -12/26 hp (Incapacitated)
Cedwyn 0/28 hp (Incapacitated)

Gwyn gets 5 Glory

Sir Amig's unit sustained losses in his daring move, but he successfully disengaged. With some space between him and the enemy, he rallied his unit for a full on charge against the enemy rear. Sir Amig's charge broke the Saxon right, and within minutes the Saxons were sounding the retreat. With the losses sustained, Uther does not order a pursuit. Though the Cymric knights hold the field of battle, there is no sign of Sir Cedwyn, Sir Rodric or Sir Gwyn. Despondent, their retinues and squires recover the knight's share of the plunder and prisoners and head back to Salisbury with the King's army.
